What you’ll be doing:

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for analyzing learning needs and developing training solutions to support the Sales’ organizational structure and goals.

• Provides instructional expertise and recommendations to support trainers and Subject Matter Experts in the creation and implementation of training programs and materials.
• Coordinates with the Subject Matter Expert and project manager throughout course development (i.e., initial planning, content brainstorming sessions, media development, and writing) to meet goals and objectives.
• Produces instructional materials for various instructional delivery methods (e.g., classroom, e-learning and written job aids, etc.) to meet project specifications.
• Creates course content outlines and storyboards in collaboration with designated Subject Matter Experts to ensure deliverables meet training and learning strategies.
• Gathers data on training needs (needs analysis) and learning interventions to integrate design of training materials and programs.
• Writes course content and creates relevant graphics to reflect and develop the scope, sequence, and learning objectives developed through team collaboration.
• Collects content for development of training materials (e.g., text, graphics, animations, audio, glossary, test questions, etc.) to ensure alignment with training and learning development strategies.
• Continuously problem solves to guarantee instructional materials meet development timelines and outlined learning and training goals.
• Collaborates with internal clients (e.g., Product Development, Operations, etc.), Subject Matter Experts, and project managers to assist with the direction and management of projects.
• Designs evaluation tools (e.g., surveys, questionnaires, etc.) necessary for measuring training and learning intervention effectiveness.
• Conducts employee engagement surveys, verification of results, and interpretation of data and implementation of resulting action plans.
• Conducts assessments and analysis to identify development needs and recommends training methods accordingly.
• Identifies most recent innovation in the technology of online learning and suggests ways that training projects could be updated or improved.

Key responsibilities:

• Produce instructional materials for various instructional delivery methods (e.g., classroom, e-learning and written job aids, etc.) to meet project specifications.
• Create course content outlines & storyboards in collaboration with designated Subject Matter Experts to ensure deliverables meet training and learning strategies.
• Writes course content and creates relevant graphics to reflect and develop the scope, sequence, and learning objectives developed through team collaboration.
• Design evaluation tools (e.g., surveys, questionnaires, etc.) necessary for measuring training and learning intervention effectiveness.
• Develop, track and manage success measurements to identify macro trends within the sales organization.
• Work directly with Field Enablement Managers and Subject Matter Experts to help enable and train the field and enhance sales capabilities.

What you need to have:

• BS/BA degree or 2 years work experience in a similar role is required.
• Experience designing and developing education and training programs that include online/web-based learning environments.
• Prior sales training and sales enablement background in a large matrix environment preferred but not required.
• Demonstrate outstanding oral and written communication skills in English.
• Exceptional planning, administrative and organizational skills.
• Applies knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design to create instructional materials.
• Broad understanding of designing and developing training including curriculum development, needs assessments, and KPIs (key performance indicators) to drive results.
• Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in instructional systems design such as the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate), systems thinking concepts, and usability and user-centered design.
• Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts, and video scripts.
• Proficiency in the following applications: the Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and one or more of the following: Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Flash, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Determine appropriate training vehicles (e.g. eLearning, instructor-led, recorded replay) to meet organizational goals
