Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain BI application development projects
Translate customer project requirements into functional and non-functional specification for BI application
Support and consult on the data mart design
Develop and maintain knowledge and various development projects and applications
Support/train junior BI developers
Work with the business analysts to fully understand the business requirements and assure that the project deliverables are fulfilling these
Develop technical specifications for projects
Develop reports, cubes, dashboards, scorecards, hypercards
Promote components across dev, test and production environments
Prepare test cases and strategies for unit testing, system and integration testing
Plan, coordinate and execute project activities to ensure timely completion
Provide support to the business community and resolve complex issues
Maintain effective relationships with employees to develop good customer practices
Requirements
5 year+ experience in building BI applications as developer (e.g. MSTR semantic layer or content with similar BI tool)
Strong knowledge in Software Development Lifecycle processes
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Economics or related quantitative field
Strong Data Warehouse background, accumulating at least 5 years’ experience in DWH or Data driven development in an enterprise environment
Hands on experience in SQL, PL/SQL and any ETL tools
Experience with data bases (e.g Oracle 11g or newer version, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Strong experience in working with Business Analysts or Business Customers for requirements definition and transforming these into technical design
Experience in agile software development with Kanban or Scrum or equivalent
Advanced English language skills – spoken and written
